Our walking holidays are graded from easy to strenuous, with moderate and demanding sitting in the middle! Find out more about the difference between our walking grades.
We also offer self-guided walking holidays, guided group and private guided. On our self-guided trips you receive route notes, GPX files and maps, and this provides you with the most flexibility. Guided trips are often expert led, and allow you to travel with a group of like-minded people, or you can choose to be privately guided, having a local guide for just you and your party, or walking club.
We also offer a range of holiday types, so whether you prefer coastal walking or cultural discovery, culinary walks or centre-based, we have pretty much everything covered.
In 2027 there are several UNESCO World Heritage Sites with anniversaries, so if you're intrigued to see why these natural and historical attractions feature on the list, 2027 may just be the perfect opportunity!
Planning your Perfect Walking Holiday
Deciding where to go is only part of the planning stage! Luckily for you, our team of experts handle all the logistics for booking your holiday so that you can focus on enjoying the walks!
On the vast majority of our holidays, transfers and luggage transfers are included. Often on hikes, trailheads are located away from main towns, so by including transfers we ensure that you can sample the best of the country’s walking routes without needing to hire a car. On some trips you’ll need to catch public transport to/from the trails. In this case we’ll advise how you can purchase tickets if they’re not included in the price. Luggage transfers mean you can pack light whilst hiking and your suitcase will be waiting for you at your next hotel. You don’t get this service when booking solo!
There are a few essential items to pack for any walking holiday. It goes without saying that the most important item is a pair of worn in and comfortable hiking boots. We always recommend packing layers and waterproofs - particularly for high altitude trekking and don’t forget to keep hydrated. We’ve written a full packing list guide in our 'How to Prepare for a Hike' blog that you can bookmark and return to each time you go on holiday.
Walking distances, ascent and descent and walking grade information is included on all our holidays so that you can understand which trip is right for your skill level. Distances typically range from five to 20 kilometres per day, with some trips including rest days. Hiking is a great way to see the natural and cultural highlights of an area, with opportunities to sample local gastronomy along the way.
Our team are all passionate hikers, so can help assist you with any questions you may have with your holiday.
