We loved the early climb to Lac d’Oredon, starting in the cold mist, going up to beautiful lakes and walking past gorgeous scenery to our lakeside hotel.

France is full of extraordinary and varied landscapes, from unspoilt mountains and valleys, to alpine passes and rolling vineyards. Walks Worldwide offers unique walking holidays through the Pyrenees, with stunning scenery and rolling hills, dotted with castles and traditional villages.

Our trips offer a mixture of walks, mostly along well marked footpaths and trails. Conditions are good underfoot but the terrain can be rocky with regular ascent and descent. Accommodation includes three star hotels, traditional guesthouses, gîtes and mountain refuges.

The best time of year for a walking holiday in southern France is between March and November, with June being a popular month when the days are longer and the mountain flora is at its best.
