Discover More About Patagonia
Covering over one million square kilometres, the huge, sparsely populated region known as Patagonia lies at the southern end of South America and is shared between Argentina and Chile. It comprises the southernmost reaches of the vast Andes chain as well as desert, pampas and grasslands.
In Argentinian Patagonia our walking holidays take you to the Andean foothills, camping in mountain villages and enjoying views of glaciers along trails in Los Glaciares National Park. In Chile we hike along high mountain trails in the stunning Torres del Paine National Park, and along easy trails in Tierra del Fuego’s woodland and coastal stretches.
The best time of year to visit Patagonia is between October and March, when it is summer in South America and there are dazzling vantage points from almost every angle, although Patagonia’s weather is characterised by its unpredictability.
