Discover More About South Africa

South Africa boasts some of the most beautiful scenery on the planet and a walking holiday here offers a chance to enjoy a wonderful diversity of landscapes, culture and wildlife, from the stunning Blyde River Canyon and Zululand to the world-class Kruger and Hluhluwe-iMfolozi National Parks.

There’s so much to see in South Africa, it could be easy to feel overwhelmed by choice. The highlights of the north-east of the country can be experienced over good, well-maintained trails, some at altitude, staying in a mix of accommodation including tented camps. You can also enjoy the ultimate thrill of a safari – not only on game drives but also on foot – in Kruger National Park, as well as hiking along the world’s third largest canyon, Blyde River, and savouring the spectacular panoramic views of the Drakensberg Escapement.

The best time to visit is between September and March.
