Day 1: Depart UK
Depart the UK on an overnight flight to Johannesburg.

Day 2: Arrive in Kruger National Park
Upon arrival in Johannesburg, we check in for our group flight to Hoedspruit Airport. From here, a group transfer takes us to our accommodation in Kruger National Park.

Day 3: Sweni Wilderness Trail
Today we transfer to the Sweni Wilderness base camp. Once there, receive a briefing for the group's two days of walking the trail, and afterwards you have time to relax and enjoy being immersed in the nature and solitude of the wilderness.

Days 4-5 : Hiking Sweni Wilderness Trail
A typical day on the walking safari starts with an early morning exhilarating game walk amidst the wilderness, seeking the Big 5. After the walk, we return to camp for brunch and leisure time to observe wildlife and relax. In the late afternoon, we enjoy another game walk, followed by bush sundowners, and end the day with dinner around a campfire.

Day 6: Rietspruit Game Reserve
A transfer takes us back to camp at Kruger, followed by travelling to Hoedspruit and the accommodation within Rietspruit Game Reserve.
The evening is free to relax and enjoy your surroundings.

Day 7: Mariepskop Mountain Hike
Today, we journey to Mariepskop and our hike takes us to the peak of this impressive mountain at 1,945 metres where at the summit, the views stretch across the canyon. Whilst on the hike, learn stories of old battles and local legends of the area.

Day 8: Travel to Cape Town
Transfer to Hoedspruit Airport for our flight to Cape Town. Once in Cape Town, a transfer takes us to our hotel and the remainder of the day is free to relax or explore independently.

Day 9: Table Mountain Hike
Beginning early in the morning, we transfer to the base of Table Mountain. From here we hike the winding path ascending to the summit. The views stretch across the city, Robben Island and surrounding areas. From the top, we descend via cable car.

Day 10: Cape Peninsula Exploration
A full day dedicated to exploring Cape Town and the Peninsula. We visit Bokaap and its brightly coloured houses and travel along Chapman's Peak Drive, followed by hiking to The Cape of Good Hope. From here we venture to Boulders beach to see the penguins and spot sharks from the Muizenberg boardwalk. After this, we transfer to the Constantia Valley for an optional wine tasting in one of the oldest vineyards within the area. The full-day tour is roughly eight hours.

Day 11: Winelands Trail Hike
Upon arriving in the Winelands, we hike through spectacular vineyard trails of the Banjhoek Valley whilst learning about the winemaking process and the flora and fauna of the area. There are two stops for cellar tours and vineyard tasting. The hike ends with lunch before a transfer to Franschhoek.

Day 12: Depart Cape Town
A group transfer takes us to Cape Town airport in time for your return flight.
Please note: It is advisable to wear hiking boots with good ankle support as the trails consist of a mix of rocks, gravel, and dirt tracks, with occasional steep ascents and descents. We recommend this holiday for those in good physical condition with hiking experience.
