Discover More About Georgia
Walks are on rocky mountain trails, through forests, meadowland and back country roads, with mostly good conditions underfoot. The walks are quite challenging, in mountainous and wild terrain, and at times involve steep ascents and descents. They are therefore only suitable for walkers with experience in mountain walking.
Accommodation includes simple but comfortable local guesthouses, hotels and wild camping in mountain tents.
The best time to travel to Georgia is from July to September, as the winter effectively cuts off the Caucasus Mountains from the rest of Georgia. This is a beautiful, fertile region so expect rain at any time of year.
