On this short-break walking holiday, begin in the picturesque town of Perros-Guirec, which has a beautiful marina and impressive Romanesque architecture. Walk sections of the GR34, exploring rugged coastline and golden beaches on the Île Renote Peninsula, along with a visit to the pink granite rocks of Ploumanac’h, considered to be a natural wonder. Carry on your journey to Lannion, a stunning town with quaint buildings, impressive monuments and a long history. This walking holiday is everything you expect from the French coast: incredible scenery and beaches, local seafood, and a rich heritage.

Typical Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Arrive in Perros-Guirec

    The choice is yours to travel by train, plane or ferry to Brittany, and on to Perros-Guirec. If time allows once you arrive, spend the afternoon exploring the town’s beautiful marina.

  2. Day 2: Walk to Ploumanac’h

    Walk along the Custom Officer’s Trail from Perros-Guirec to Ploumanac’h. Weave through incredible pink granite rocks which have eroded to form spectacular shapes.

    Walking distance: 16 km | Ascent: 180 m | Descent: 180 m

  3. Day 3: Île Renote Peninsula

    On this section of the GR34, circle the Île Renote Peninsula along a predominantly flat path, offering panoramic views of the wild coastline, golden beaches, and overlooking the incredible carved rocks of yesterday’s walk.   

    Walking distance: 11 km | Ascent: 50 m | Descent: 50 m

  4. Day 4: Trébeurden to Lannion

    Journey through ferns, forest and along cliff-tops, with impressive views overlooking the bay’s sandy beaches and turquoise waters. Carry on to the picturesque town of Lannion.

    Walking distance: 20 km | Ascent: 230 m | Descent: 230 m

  5. Day 5: Departure

    Depending on the time you need to depart Lannion for your own onward travel, take some time to explore Lannion’s historic town centre.
