Around the World in 40 Walks

Here at Walks Worldwide what we enjoy most about exploring the world is the freedom and the feeling of timelessness when you’re out in the open. To get away from the daily grind, to not have one place to be but to have an undiscovered road ahead of you, and to search for something that simply isn’t tangible. Whether you do it for the views, do it for the physical challenge, do it for your own sense of self, or all three of the aforementioned, every walk will bring great rewards. It’s safe, cheap and fun and it’s one of the few activities in the world that can be done anywhere, anytime, by people of any age or ability.

We set ourselves the challenge of getting around the entire globe via some of the world’s best walks, starting in the UK and moving from adjacent countries that are home to fantastic hikes and treks. This took us across Europe, through Asia and Africa, up through South and Central America to the US and back over to Europe, taking in iconic walks like the Inca Trail.

You can see the full route below, along with more information on each walk. We don’t think it gets much better than this for walking lovers. We hope you like the route as much as we do. Let’s go around the world in 40 walks…
