Discover More About Germany

Discover fortresses and castles, walk through stunning alpine scenery on the trail of King Ludwig, and visit charming cities and rural wine cellars.

Walks here range from lower level valley walks to higher walks in the mountains that follow way-marked trails. They can vary from rocky trails to forest trails, with mostly good conditions underfoot. Though there may be frequent changes in incline, steep gradients are rarely sustained for long. Accommodation includes three star hotels with en suite facilities and small inns.

The best time of year to visit Germany is from March to November. The Alps should be visited from July to September for leisurely hikes on the many mountain trails. Summer is usually quite warm with frequent dry periods, although rain and thunderstorms can occur at any time.
