Explore Lanzarote’s trails and dramatic volcanic landscapes on this eight-day walking holiday. With an area of only 800 square kilometres, Lanzarote packs in a wealth of natural beauty and cultural richness for its size. The Ajaches and the Famara Cliffs are the oldest part of the island and boast a huge diversity of flora and fauna as well as stunning panoramic views. See beautiful canyons shaped by millions of years of erosion, and witness how life has re-emerged from the ashes in La Geria.
On arrival at Lanzarote airport, you will be met then transferred to your hotel in Playa Blanca in the south of the island.
Today is your only guided walk of the trip. You will meet a local guide who will teach you about Lanzarote’s fascinating cultural and geological history, while exploring Timanfaya National Park and Parque Natural de Los Volcanes.

Starting in Playa Blanca, you will walk inland to the village of Feme, over La Atalaya de Femes and on to the village of Yaiza.

Today you will walk through La Geria Valley where you will witness some of the island’s unique agricultural techniques. You may wish to stop at one of the wineries you pass to enjoy some refreshments or a tasting.

Exploring another landscape today, you will cross the El Jable Desert towards Teguise, the island’s old capital. Next, you will head uphill towards La Pena del Chache, which is the highest point of the island (670m) and offers spectacular views.

This morning’s walk takes you along La Corona and La Quemada, passing the village of Maguez as you make your way towards Orzola, Lanzarote’s most northern village. From here you take the boat over to La Graciosa.

La Graciosa is a very unusual and timeless place, where local life is largely dictated by the rhythm of the tides. Today you have a choice of two trails, both of which follow coastal tracks and visit idyllic beaches.
Take the boat back to the mainland. You will be met and transferred to the airport in time for your flight.
