Continue through the heart of Istria, exploring the medieval town of Motovun and the lush landscapes of Učka Nature Park. Your adventure concludes in Lovran, a picturesque Austro-Hungarian resort offering coastal views and timeless elegance.

Typical Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Travel to Novigrad

    Fly or take the train to Novigrad and make your way to your hotel.

  2. Day 2: Brtonigla - Buje - Triban – Grožnjan

    You're transferred to begin your hike through Brtonigla’s scenic vineyards. The trail ascends to the hilltop town of Buje, with its charming stone streets. Continue along the historic Parenzana trail, passing through Triban, before reaching the artistic town of Grožnjan.

    Walking distance: 18 km | Ascent: 390 metres | Descent: 245 metres

  3. Day 3: Grožnjan - Sveti Ivan - Oprtalj - Livade – Motovun

    The trail starts by following panoramic ridges toward Sveti Ivan, then leads to the village of Oprtalj, a great spot for a rest. The path descends into the Mirna Valley, reaching Livade, known for its truffle heritage and Parenzana railway museum. After crossing the Mirna River, the final stretch ascends to Motovun, offering stunning views and the chance to explore its charming streets and local atmosphere.

  4. Day 4: Selca – Kotli – Hum – Buzet

    You’re transferred to the start of your walk along the famous Seven Waterfalls Trail, known for its cascading waterfalls and crystal-clear pools. The path winds through one of Istria’s most stunning natural areas, leading to Hum, the smallest town in the world. This charming village offers a glimpse into Istria’s rich heritage. The trail continues past hidden pools before reaching Buzet, the heart of Istria, renowned for its truffles and local culinary traditions.

  5. Day 5: Buzet – Rovinj

    After breakfast, a short transfer takes you to Rovinj for a relaxing city walk. Wander through lush parks shaded by tall pines, follow coastal paths with hidden coves, and explore the maze-like streets of the old town, rich in history and charm. In the evening, Rovinj’s vibrant atmosphere invites you to enjoy a leisurely meal, explore its lively streets, or take a peaceful stroll along the waterfront.

  6. Day 6: Rovinj - Kamenjak Nature Park – Pula

    Take a short transfer to Cape Kamenjak, a protected nature park on the edge of Kvarner Bay. Enjoy a peaceful walk with gentle elevation gains and stunning coastal views. Later catch a bus from Premantura to Pula and spend the evening exploring the old town. Explore the iconic Roman Amphitheatre, the Arena, and charming ancient streets.

  7. Day 7: Pula- Učka park – Lovran

    Today, you hike through the rolling hills of Istria to Učka Mountain. After a short transfer to Učka Park, your trail begins across a panoramic plateau, offering breathtaking views of Kvarner Bay and its islands—Krk, Cres, and Lošinj. The path then gently descends along the southeastern slopes toward Lovran, where you enjoy a last dinner before heading home the next day.

    Walking distance: 12 km | Ascent: 480 metres | Descent: 1,390 metres

  8. Day 8: Depart

    Today, your holiday sadly comes to an end. Make your own way to the airport or your onward destination.

Please note: The closest airports to your first location (Novigrad) are Pula (PUY), Trieste (TRS) and Venice Marco Polo (VCE). It's advisable to check bus and train schedules in advance, as they can vary based on season and service providers. Alternatively, you can use taxi services or request private airport transfers with our supplier (for a surcharge).
