Day 1: Arrive in Krems
Make your own way to the hotel in Krems.

Day 2: Trek: Vineyards trails to Dürnstein
Today's hike is through Stein and its wine regions, follow gravel paths near vineyards and forest trails. Along the walk, you're treated to breathtaking views of the diverse landscape and the Danube River.
Eventually you reach Dürnstein, a medieval village. Take the opportunity to wander through the vibrant streets of Dürnstein, admire its traditional architecture, and then catch a bus back to Krems.

Day 3: Trek from Weißenkirchen to Spitz
Begin the day with a train journey to Weißenkirchen. From here, follow the path through Michaelerberg, a charming meadow, as you make your way to the Red Gate which used to be a defence wall. After which, you're in the beautiful wine region of Spitz. Keep following the trail through stunning landscapes until you finally reach Spitz.

Day 4: Trek from Spitz to Mühldorf
Starting in Spitz, you pass castles and high-terraced vineyards. The path gradually begins to ascent, and you're immersed in the wine region. Along the way, you pass vineyards and wine tavernas where you can take a break and savour the local wine.
Continue with the ascent until you reach the Thousand Bucket Mountain, where a panoramic lookout awaits. From here you pass more vineyards, until arriving at the hillside town of Mühldorf. You can explore the town before travelling back to Spitz by bus.

Day 5: Trek from Aggsbach Markt to Emmersdorf
Your walk begins after taking a bus to Aggsbach Markt. The trail gradually ascends through forests, leading you to Edelberg.
From there, it continues its climb towards Glatzber and Barenreut plateau. Along the way you pass the fortified church of Gossam, scenic viewpoints, charming villages and picturesque bell towers.
The last part of your journey guides you to the delightful town of Emmersdorf.

Day 6: Trek: Castle and Forest trek
Today's hike takes you to the low mountains of the Weiten range. On route, you pass the castles of St Georgen and Rothenhof, and the hamlet of Pomling. After passing these architectural sites, the path meanders through pine forest to Eitental.
Continuing through the forest, you're led to the player's cross, which is the highest point of today's walk. At the end of the hike, take a bus to Emmersdorf.

Day 7: Trek from Emmersdorf to Melk
The first stretch of today's hike has views across the Danube Valley and to Melk Abbey. You then drop down to the Luberegg country palace, which is located at the riverside. After which you cross the majestic Danube River.
Once you reach the south bank, your journey continues towards the enchanting town of Melk.

Day 8: Depart Melk
The trip comes to an end today. Depending upon your travel plans, you can independently explore Melk or visit the abbey today, before making your own way to the airport.
