Picturesque hiking trails take you on the renowned Quidi Vidi Loop on to Port Kirwan and finally to Bay Bulls, one of the oldest communities in North America that show how far off the beaten track it’s possible to get when exploring such remote areas of north-east Canada.
You enjoy daily hikes covering between 10 kilometres to 20 kilometres, following dramatic coastal footpath through enchanting forests and captivating coastal viewpoints, making the most of the welcoming local hospitality along the way.

Day 1: Arrive at St John’s International Airport
Begin your stay in the town of St Johns.

Day 2: Flatrock to Pouch Cove
Today’s walk leads you along the traditional cow path, with views of Shoe Cove Island past numerous lookout points and stunning waterfalls.

Day 3: Cape St Francis Loop
This section of the coastal trail highlights it’s rugged nature, with steep hills and spectacular ocean vistas via Champs Lookout to Cape St Francis Lighthouse.

Day 4: Petty Harbour to Cape Spear
Today your hike will cover a variety of terrains including river crossings interspersed with spectacular views of the North Atlantic as you close in on Cape Spear Lighthouse.

Day 5: Witless Bay to Beauline East
Today you will enjoy the best views of the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve which is a sanctuary for puffins and migrating seabirds, and a feeding ground for humpback whales.

Day 6: Walk from Cappahayden to Renews
Today’s walk takes you past a dramatic lookout point overlooking an impressive cinder block of rock known as The Forge, from there you will also be able to enjoy views of Renews harbour's well known as a cormorant colony.

Day 7: Walk The Spurwink Island Path
Today’s walk takes in one of the highlights of the East Coast Trail. The huge sea arch at Berry Head located on the Spurwink Island Path is a coastal feature like no other and never fails to disappoint. You follow the island path as it winds its way south to Aquaforte.

Day 8: Logy Bay to St John’s
After a short transfer, the walk to Sugarloaf Head provides spectacular 360 degree views of St John's and Quidi Vidi from the Bawdens Highlands. The final climb up Signal Hill is the final sting in the tail.
