Here's some great ideas to make your visit to magical Nepal even more special
Make your holiday to Nepal even more special.
Chitwan Jungle Safari
Wherever you've just been trekking in the Nepal Himalayas, a jungle safari by elephant is a complete contrast and a great way of experiencing a region of Nepal that is very, very different from where you've been trekking. Chitwan is Nepal's most famous National Park and home to the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger, Leopard, Deer, Sloth Bear and the one-horned Rhinoceros. The sheer variety of bird-life is incredible too.
Day 1 Transfer to the Machan Wildlife Paradise Resort by private vehicle. Afternoon wildlife activities. Overnight at Machan Wildlife Paradise Resort. Dinner included.
Day 2 Enjoy a full day of wildlife activities in Chitwan National Park. As well as an elephant safari in search of Tigers and more, you'll also visit river plains to look for gharial and crocodile and expereince an insight into jugle village life. Overnight at Machan Wildife Paradise Resdort. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and Widlife activities included.
Day 3 Transfer to Kathmandu by private vehicle Breakfast included
Prices start at £245 per person, based on a minimum of 2 persons on a twin-share basis. Extra night on day 3 in Kathmandu may be required depending upon which trek you've undertaken/International flight schedule
Everest Mountain Flight
Why not get up close and personal with Everest from the air? This is a great (and easy) way to view the world's highest mountain, as well as other peaks of the Himalaya. This short flight departs Kathmandu in the early morning and flies along the Himalaya, before heading up through the Khumbu to Everest. Even if you've been trekking in the Everest region, the view from a light aircraft (which is an experience in itself) is both different and mind-blowing.
Prices start at £195 per person (minimum 1 person) and includes Everest Mountain Flight and private return Airport transfers. Please note this flight is weather dependent (full refund upon return to UK if flight cancelled) and may require extra night in Kathmandu, dependent upon your main trekking itinerary.
Extra nights in Kathmandu
Many like to arrive in Nepal a couple of days before trek, or spend extra time to explore Kathmandu and further afield in the Kathmandu Valley to Bhakatpur, Patan and beyond after trek too. Some of opur Nepal extensions may also require an extra night in Kathmandu by default. If you'd like to spend extra time in Kathmandu we can easily arrange this for you before, or after your trek. The Shanker Hotel is located in the quieter Lazimpat area of Kathmandu, a 20 minute walk (or 5 minute tuk-tuk journey) from the bustling Thamel district. This former Rana's Palace, with en-suite rooms (Nepalese 4*) has a swimming pool and garden area for relaxation and is close enough to the 'action' but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Prices start at £35 per person sharing a twin room and £55 for a single room. prices include breakfast.
