Tiger Ban Lifted!
Good news this week from our friends in India, as we witnessed their Supreme Court lift its ban on tourism in over 40 government-run tiger reserves. The ban was put in place back in July following complaints and concerns that tourism was contributing negatively on the tiger population. We are now pleased to say that all of our India trips will once again be able to include visits to Ranthambhore National Park, Bandhavgarh National Park, and Kanha National Park to name just a few. Slovakia: Projekt Medved
Maria's collar was programmed to drop off on 18th May which it duly did so she is now free again. The GPS position showed it to be in an area of fallen trees. It was obvious that Maria had rested up here for a number of days - maybe she was relishing her new found freedom. Around the flattened rest site was a large quantity of dung full of grass.
