The basic attributes required for a tour leader include the following:
- Personal travel experience, especially in developing countries.
- Languages and/or a confidence to be able to communicate with the local people if the language is not spoken (we would not expect you to speak fluent Greek for example!).
- Patience and the ability to be able to get on people who may come from a wide variety of backgrounds.
- Broad experience of walking in mountains.
- A Mountian leader qualification.
- A good degree of physical fitness.
- A First Aid qualification.
