The Himalayas - Nepal

Nepal is an intriguing mix of religions and cultures, where the people seem to blend perfectly with the landscape of the mighty Himalayas. Here you'll find impressive Kasbahs strategically located beneath the even more impressive snowy peaks of the High Atlas Mountains, bustling souks crammed with traditional artisan crafts, a wealth of history and culture, ornate Moorish architecture, friendly Berber tribes living in tiny mud-brick villages, traditional coastal fishing towns, Andalucian influences in the lush Mediterranean mountains of the Rif, spectacular Martian landscapes in the Jebel Sahro, the immense expanses of sweeping sands and dunes of the Sahara, to the delightful, colourful and rarely trekked mule trails of the verdant Western Atlas.

Kilimanjaro

We avoid the crowded Marangu route, preferring to follow both the much quieter and more scenic Rongai and Shira routes to the Uhuru peak summit of Kilimanjaro. The Rila and Pirin Ranges - Bulgaria

Bulgaria contains some of the most dramatic and jaw dropping mountain scenery to be found anywhere in Europe, especially in the Rila and Pirin ranges, the highest in the country. Panoramic mountain views will take your breath away along an almost infinite series of trails to alpine meadows, remote glacial lakes and onto spectacular ridges and summits.

The Pyrenees

beneath Pic D'Escobes, AndorraStretching from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean the Pyrenees form a natural divide between France and Spain. There are excellenty waymarked walking trails throughout the Pyrenees including the world famous GR10 long distance route which traverses the entire mountain range. In the northern foothills of the Pyrenees, close to the Mediterranean, "In the Footsteps of the Cathars" takes you to the heart of the Corbieres region. This is a beautiful, historic Cathar footpath taking you through the rolling hills of southern France.
