Amazon Rainforest - 4 days

Flying in and out of Puerto Maldonado, this fascinating experience is for everyone who would like to spend an unforgettable time in the remote Amazonian rainforest. Travelling up to your Tambopata jungle lodge by canoe you look for giant river otters, turtles, caiman and a vast amount of bird species including the Pied Lapwing, Capped Heron, Horned Screamer, Bat Falcon, and several species of kingfishers, swallows and flycatchers, surrounded by the enchanting sounds of the rainforest.
At the lodge you will be accommodated in delightful mosquito- proofed bungalows and fed on home cooked, locally produced food. You will be offered a variety of excursions depending on the season and the length of your stay.
As well as searching out the fauna, your knowledgeable local guides will show you some of the fascinating plants and trees that are found in both primary and secondary forest. Walking tours along forest trails to hidden oxbow lakes, night time caiman spotting by canoe, night walks around the lodge and canoe trips further up river all ensure you will have a most informative and interesting experience in this enchanting area, and a total contrast to the Andes. Lake Titicaca - 4 days

A fascinating train ride takes you from Cusco across the high altiplano to Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca and its famous islands built entirely on reeds. A three-hour boat journey across the lake brings you to Amantani Island where you will be housed and fed in family houses, a wonderful way to get to know these extraordinary people. Being a traffic free island, the peace and tranquillity here is unforgettable. The following day you re-board your launch for the journey across to Taquile Island, where the inhabitants wear distinctive costumes and the men can be seen doing the knitting! The launch takes you back to Puno where after some free time you transfer to Juliaca airport for the flight to Lima.
Colca Canyon - 4 days

From either Lima or Juliaca (Lake Titicaca) you can fly into Arequipa, with its beautiful 16th century monastery and stunning surrounds of snow-capped peaks. Journey high up into the mountains to the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest in the world and an unforgettable sight in the early morning light. Renowned as a superb spot for viewing the magnificent condors a visit here displays yet another facet of Peru's natural environment.
Nazca Lines - 2 days

The Nazca Lines are one of the world's great mysteries. An array of seamlessly random lines which when viewed from the air present a wonderful drawing book of figures - but why are they here and what purpose did they serve? Travel from Lima to this incredible site which also includes a memorable visit to the 'mini-Galapagos' - the Ballestas Islands.
