Flying in and out of Puerto Maldonado, this fascinating experience is for everyone who would like to spend an unforgettable time in the remote Amazonian rainforest. Travelling up to your Tambopata jungle lodge by canoe you look for giant river otters, turtles, caiman and a vast amount of bird species including the Pied Lapwing, Capped Heron, Horned Screamer, Bat Falcon, and several species of kingfishers, swallows and flycatchers, surrounded by the enchanting sounds of the rainforest.
At the lodge you will be accommodated in delightful mosquito- proofed bungalows and fed on home cooked, locally produced food. You will be offered a variety of excursions depending on the season and the length of your stay.

A fascinating train ride takes you from Cusco across the high altiplano to Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca and its famous islands built entirely on reeds. A three-hour boat journey across the lake brings you to Amantani Island where you will be housed and fed in family houses, a wonderful way to get to know these extraordinary people. Being a traffic free island, the peace and tranquillity here is unforgettable. The following day you re-board your launch for the journey across to Taquile Island, where the inhabitants wear distinctive costumes and the men can be seen doing the knitting!
