This trip offers the opportunity to experience the essence of adventure within the realms of creature comforts.

A few days of acclimatisation in Cusco and the Sacred Valley, visiting Inca sites will ready you for the epic hike over Salkantay Pass at 4650 metres dominated by the towering wall of Salkantay Mountain, inspiring humility and superstition. As you continue on the trail, you will pass though nine different bio-zones ranging from high alpine with aggressive rock faces, glaciers and boulder strewn moraines to steamy jungle, complete with hummingbirds and a plethora of orchids, lupin, ladies slippers and more.

From little known Lllactapata ruins you will have your first glimpse of the citadel of Machu Picchu, cradled amongst the tree clad peaks, a mere hint of the enormity of the famed site, awaiting you the following day.

On this trip arrangements for traveling to and from Cusco and sightseeing excursions in the Sacred Valley will be made exclusively for you, but you will be joining other trekkers on the Salkantay Trail.
