Paradise and the Mala Fatra
8 days, self-guided, minimum 2 people, exclusive seasonal daily departures
- Hidden villages of the Mala Fatra
- Exciting gorge walks in the Slovensky Raj
- Dramatic views from Krivan summit
Amongst the splendid landscapes of Slovakia, this varied holiday encompasses two very varied, but equally beautiful National Parks. First up are the Humpback Mountains of Mala Fatra, a stunning unspoiled area of outstanding natural beauty, tiny hamlets, hidden canyons and prolific wildlife.
An ascent of Krivan affords unforgettable, expansive views across the Mala Fatra, over to the Low Tatras, the forests of western Slovakia and to the jagged peaks of the High Tatras. Then you'll visit the dramatic ravines, valleys and gorges of the aptly named 'Slovensky Raj' - Slovak Paradise National Park, where adventurous walking explores the canyon trails in this Slovak Paradise with sections of ladders, chains, steps and footbridges helping to make the inaccessible possible. With fantastic walking and contrasting landscapes, this walking holiday will not disappoint.
