Medieval Dubrovnik, the pearl of the Adriatic, is an iconic walled coastal city of Dalmatia. With a rich culture and fascinating history, the narrow streets of the old town are great for exploring.

Then it's time for a spot of island hopping. Cultured and relaxed, the waterfront community of Cavtat provides the perfect base to explore the delights of the Konavle countryside with the option of time on the beach too. Enjoy pleasant, sunshine walking by the beautiful Adriatic coastline. You will have dedicated days to discover the islands of Kolocep, Sipan, Lopud and Lokrum, each with its own unique scenery and lifestyle.

Typical Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Fly to Dubrovnik

    Upon arrival into Dubrovnik you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Evening at your leisure.

  2. Day 2: Hiking on Mount Srd & Cavtat

    After breakfast you will hike to the 412 metre peak of Mount Srd, which offers stunning views of the walled town of Dubrovnik. In the afternoon you will walk to Cavtat, a small town in the Konavle region of Croatia. Walking on the untouched beaches of the Sustjepan Peninsula, you will pass the famous Cavtat Promenade and have the chance to visit Racic Mausoleum that lies among the trees at the Highest point above the town.

  3. Day 3: Kolocep Island

    This morning take the ferry to Kolocep Island, with its dramatic scenery of rocky beaches, high cliffs and colourful reefs. Enjoy the old architecture while walking through traditional mediterranean vilages like Gornje Celo and Donje Celo. You will pass by romantic old chapels, the ruins of the basilica and Napoleon’s Fort among other things.

  4. Day 4: Dubrovnik Old Town city tour (optional)

    Today you have an opportunity to join a Dubrovnik Old Town city tour. Make your way by foot or public transport (payable locally) to Pile Gate for 10:15am, where you will meet your guide and the rest of the group.

    You will be led through the narrow streets of the Old Town and introduced to the history and culture of this incredible city, and will also get the chance to view Dubrovnik from a spectacular veiwpoint.

    The remainder of your day is left free at your own leisure.

  5. Day 5: Lopud Island

    With no more than 200 permanent residents and compeltely free of traffic, Lopud Island is a quiet and calm place to spend some time. Explore the island and enjoy the sandy beaches, palm trees and abundance of flowers. Sunj Bay is Lopud’s most popular beach but the hidden gems of the island are its tiny churches and its fort. During your walk you will also see stunning views of the Elafiti archipelago and Mljet Island.

  6. Day 6: Šipan Island

    Today is dedicated to the largest of the Elaphiti Islands – Šipan. This island is rich in cultural heritage and has a turbulent history. Walk through the colourful villages of Sudjuradj and Luka Sipanska and between, witnessing a real country lifestyle and passing by chapels, monasteries, palaces and summer houses of ancient Dubrovnik aristocracy.

    You will also have plently of time to relax on one of the island's beaches or people watch from a nearby cafe.

  7. Day 7: Mljet Island & National Park

    This morning you take a boat to Mljet Island National Park, the only national park in the region. The northern part of the island is covered by dense green forest and the national park has two beautiful salt water lakes and a 14th century monastery. Explore the island on foot, swim in the warm waters of the lakes and take a short boat trip to St Mary’s island monastery.

    Walking distance: 11 km

  8. Day 8: Fly back to the UK

    You will be transferred to the airport in time for your flight.
