Chile In Style

16 days, Guided Independent Tour, 2 People or more, Weekly October to March

New for 2008

Chile - a long thin country offering huge diversity from the arid Atacama desert in the north to the remote beauty of Torres del Paine in the Patagonian south. Walks Worldwide clients have been enjoying this stunning country for years and now we are proud to offer the perfect combination of these two very different parts of Chile using unique and stylish accommodation throughout. A wonderful way to experience the richness this country offers tip to toe!

Patagonia is 'end of the world' land and the jewel in the crown, Torres del Paine, is iconic to the whole of South America. Enjoy a wonderful five days here hiking to the famed rock spires, past sparkling glaciers and along iceberg-filled aquamarine lakes. Your eco-camp accommodation aims to provide maximum exposure to nature with the highest degree of comfort allowed by sustainable development in this fragile environment - the perfect base to enjoy the dramatic sights of Patagonia.

The Atacama Desert is the driest in the world. From its enormous plains volcanoes soar over 5000 metres and thermal springs, geysers and lagoons create a kaleidoscope of impressions and colour. Your accommodation is a traditional adobe-style hotel in the heart of this fascinating region. A pre-dawn visit to the live El Tatio geysers at 4500 metres enables you to round off your visit to Chile on a real high.

Here you will stay most nights in the unique eco-camp with views onto the soaring spires themselves and enjoy walking to various famed look-out points including the stunning Grey Glacier, Mirador Frances and to the base of Las Torres. There are spectacular vistas in all directions of distant Andean ranges, ancient forests, majestic massifs, glaciers and icebergs and unbelievably turquoise lakes.
