WALKING HOLIDAYS IN BULGARIA
Trekking in Bulgaria has long been one of Europe's best kept secrets. Yet with a vast network of little used, waymarked trails the mountains of Bulgaria offer outstanding walking opportunities. The majestic high peaks of the Rila and Pirin ranges almost reach 3000 metres and here you'll find some of the wildest and most spectacular mountain scenery anywhere in Europe. On our challenging "Summits and Ridges of the Rila and Pirin" you'll ascend the two highest summits in the Balkans, Musala (2925m) and Vihren (2914m) and enjoy fine ridge walks too in the company of a professional English-speaking guide. Our recently introduced "Rila Adventure" is aimed right at dedicated, experienced mountain walkers who prefer to experience the solitude and magnificence of the mountains without being part of a group. For those that prefer their walking more moderate then head to the land of Orpheus, the tranquil Rodopi Mountains on the border between Bulgaria and Greece and discover rural Bulgaria, friendly hospitality, spectacular gorges and caves and hidden mountain villages.
